Maintenance Tip: HVAC System Tuneup

It’s that time of year to prepare for the cooling   season. It is extremely important to have a professional perform a complete Spring tune-up for your home’s cooling system. This not only extends the life of your HVAC cooling equipment, which saves repair and replacement costs, but makes your equipment more energy efficient as well. The importance of washing the condenser coils is demonstrated in this Trane Video link. In addition to the coil cleaning, a complete tune-up should include all points listed below:
  • Power spray and clean exterior condenser coil
  • Check all electrical including Amps, Volts and capacitor
  • Inspect Freon levels
  • Inspect furnace filter and replace if needed
  • Inspect condensation pan and drain, clear if needed
  • Check temp difference between return and supply air
  • Check thermostat operation
A trained ACMM HVAC Technician can perform this inspection and tune-up for only $89.
